Flying to Fresno and Morales visit to Coquille

Well...just wanted to post up some new pics. We flew our Pacer down from Coquille to Fresno for Memorial weekend. It was windy getting there...but Maddy did great and we made it safely. The return trip was a bit more chaotic, but all's well now. First our tail wheel got a flat (thankfully we discovered it
whil taxi-ing for take-off at the start of the trip) and then the coastal weather just north of Eureka, CA grounded us for the day! We ended up renting a car and driving the rest of the way home...good times! :-) Brent was able to return the rental car the next day and fly the plane home, so everything worked out fine. (the detailed story is much better, in case we're ever with any of you in person...) :-)

Anyway...just this weekend...one of my best friends from my PUC days came up from Santa Rosa, CA for a visit. (She and her husband were married on June 30, 2007...I was supposed to be in the wedding except we were very very pregnant..and delivered only 5days later!) They happened to be coming this way to visit Matt's grandpa who lives south of us..and we such an awesome time having them here.

We're looking forward to visiting CA again soon (June 11) for Lauralen's graduation on the 15th (M.S. in Marriage & Family Therapy! WOO! HOO!)...Maddy and I will stay a few extra days to see friends (and their new babies since we left!) and then fly to Fresno to be with my family for through the weekend....more pics probably after that trip!
